My baby Ellie

Here is a picture of Ellie that I took today. Daniel and I were off of work today so we took the kids to Lakeside to get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. They did really good. I will have to scan the picture and post it. :) They also had a train at the mall that they rode and Gabe loved that! He is such a boy! Ellie wore this yellow dress because it was "mommom's favorite color" (My mom) :)
I thought that was so sweet of her.
I have been thinking about my mom alot lately and I just miss her. I am scared of forgetting her and the little things. It is so easy to get caught up in life and the craziness of everything. I want Ellie and Gabe to know her and how special she was. All I can do is tell them about her but then it makes me think of her even more and miss her even more. I don't want to live life and try to forget her though.
It is hard, I do know that! On May 28th, it will be 2 years already!! I can't believe how fast time flies. I will really miss her during Mother's day. I use to always get her something special and it is hard shopping during that time for me because I see so many things I wish I could get her.

Well, I have been so busy lately being a "Nanny" for twin babies. I can't believe I am a Nanny. :) I love my job and I am so blessed. I just love the twin babies that I am watching. They are 10 months old. One is a boy and one is a girl. Brock and Baili. I feel so lucky that I can be a part of their lives and upbringing. They are so special to me.
Ellie and Gabe go with me every time I go. They are really good and they help me alot. Ellie has the routine down pat already. We go for walks everyday and because they live just a couple houses away, we get to come to my house and get the kids bikes so they can play for a little bit. Ellie and Gabe look forward to that. :)
An update: Ellie lost her 6th tooth. Yep..that's right! She is missing so many teeth..poor hunny. Her two top teeth got damaged from falling on her face at Target. Her two bottom teeth fell out from a accident playing with her sister. They actually became loose and then never re-attached. Then the teeth right next to the bottom teeth became loose because the adult (two bottom) teeth grew in. So now she is missing 4 teeth total because as I stated, her two adult teeth on the bottom are in and one of her adult teeth (top front) is coming in. yahhhhh!!!! She is so cute no matter what. She amazes me every day and she is so smart and sweet. She is very thoughtful too!
Ellie and Gabe will be performing at Church on Sunday. I will try to take a little video and post it if I can.
Ellie has been asking some deep questions lately...Like....Why did people put the crown of thorns on Jesus? and why did they nail him to the cross? She said, "I bet his momma Mary was sad."
I was in shock that my little 5 year old was thinking of these things. She knows how to work my CD player in my room and she and Gabe play a Kid Christian CD in my room all the time and they stand there and sing together. It is so adorable.
Gabe is getting big too. He has a problem saying "K" and he says "T" in the place of "K". Like when he says clothes he says toes. It is so hilarious. We are working on it but I guess he will get better as time goes on. He also says "Tar" instead of "Car". Anything that has the "K" sound ends up with a "T" in front of it.

Daniel is doing good, just busy with work as always. We look forward to his days off and spending time together as a family. The kids love running to him when he comes in the door after work. He works 6 days a week and usually gets home around 9 o'clock every night.
Well, it is getting late and I need to wake up early.
Love to all,
Lizzy

A wonderful visit...

On Monday Daniel and I decided to take his mom to Fountain Bleu State Park. There is a small beach there and the scenery is just breath taking. I love it there. Daniel and I took the kids there a couple weeks ago and we had a wonderful time.
Well, this time we went to the beach there and the kids LOVED it. Ellie and Gabe are at an age now where they love the sand and the beach. It was so fun just watching them play. I enjoyed listening to the water rush onto the shore and looking up at the crystal clear blue sky. It was so peaceful and relaxing. What was best was being together as a family and having his mom with us. I know his mom enjoyed every minute of it. Here are some pictures from our day..

Look what Gabe did..

We brought these two boats. One for Ellie and one for Gabe. Well Gabe claimed the Green one and they decided to throw it out in the water. The waves took the Green boat and we lost it. Gabe was so upset. So now..I am on a mission to get him another Green boat. Any help will be greatly appreciated..:)

Happy 8 year Anniversary

Here is a picture that Danny's mom took of us last night. She watched the kids for us so that Daniel and I could celebrate our 8 Year Anniversary! I can't believe that it has been that long already. We had a wonderful night last night.
Daniel is so amazing. He gave me a mimosa with a strawberry when I got out of the shower and he had a box on my bed with a new outfit that I wanted in it from "Ann Taylor". That is the outfit I wore when we went out. He was so sweet and thoughtful. We went out to eat at Copelands, thanks to my Dad and Mrs. Rose giving us the gift certificate. Then we went to the movies and saw the Mall cop movie. It was sooo funny. We had a great time and we came home to a quiet house and both kids were sleeping. :)

I had a wonderful Day!

The sad part is that Danny's mom is leaving today. :( We are about to bring her to the airport.

I will post some of the pictures from our visit later tonight.

Love to all..

I'm a brunette...:)

Well...My awesome mother in law came in town from Florida. She does hair for a living so I thought I would get her to cut and color my hair. We decided to go more towards my natural color so that my hair would be less maintenance. I like it but it will take some getting use to. Danny and the kids like it..so that is good! :)

Bonnie's Baby Shower

Today was Bonnie's Baby shower. It turned out really nice! It was held at Bravo's in Metairie. She got a lot of nice gifts and alot of friends and family were there to share this special occasion. Bonnie moved to Texas about a year ago so I don't see her that often. It was so nice to be a part of this precious moment in her life. It is so awesome to see Bonnie pregnant! She is doing wonderful and I am so happy for her. We are both a part of "The Motherhood" now!
Welcome to my team Bonnie..ha ha ha

It is so awesome being a MOM! It's a whole new world!

Abuela's Visit

Hey All,
Danny's mom is in town for a couple days and we are having a blast. She flew in Thursday night and sadly she leaves on Tuesday evening. I really don't want her to go but I know she has to. The kids are really excited that she is here as well. I took some pictures of her with the kids and I thought I would share them on my blog. :)
I also took some pictures of her by herself so she can have. It was a lot of fun doing a photo session with her.
Danny is going to be off on Monday and Tuesday so we plan to spend some quality time with her! I am not sure what is planned yet but I know we will have fun.
Danny and I will celebrate our 8 YEAR Anniversary on Tuesday. We plan to go out to dinner or something on Monday evening I believe. I can't believe that it has been 8 years already! Time flies! I am so lucky and happy for all the many blessings I have in my life. Although things are tough right now with the economy, there are so many other things to be happy about!

Love to all,

Happy and Sad all at the same time..

Oh My goodness..My little girl is really growing up. I have been really busy lately because I started working as a Nanny for twin babies that are 9 months old. Time is just slipping away from me! Ellie has been asking me to take her training wheels off for some time now and I decided to do it Friday evening. I was thinking it would take her a while before she got it but BOY was I wrong! She took off. I was holding on to her back seat and running with her as she rode her bike and I had on flip flops so it was really hard for me to continue to keep chasing her. The whole time I was running with her, I was thinking..Oh my goodness...my baby girl is growing up! This is a big mile stone! Riding a bike with NO traning wheels! I can't believe it! What a DAY!
She is so proud of her self and she has been asking me to tell everyone and she also wants to know "are they proud of me?". It is sooo darn cute!
Here are some pictures to capture the moment! We went to Wal-mart to buy her a helmet! She is so proud of that as well!
Love to all..

A Day of fun!

On Sunday we decided to go to Fountain Bleu State Park with the kids. We brought our bikes and some lunch to eat. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast. The nats were really bad so Danny had to leave to buy some bug spray. That helped and we enjoyed the day! Here are some pictures to enjoy!
Love to all..
