Gabe Turns 4!!

Ok..so we had a party for him at our house on December 6th and here I am on December 22nd posting pics! I am horrible! At least I am doing it..right? I have had so many things going on and projects that I have been working on for people. It is a good thing! :)
I should be wrapping christmas presents right now but I am procrastinating, can't you tell! :)
Well, Gabe had a blast at his birthday party! He was so excited! He is still talking about it. His Poppa got the spacewalk for him that day and he was so thrilled about that! He told me that this was the "best birthday ever"! I just can't believe how fast time has gone and how big he is now! He is such a ball of sunshine! He has his moments but for the most part he is always trying to make someone smile or laugh. He has a cute personality! I just love him so! He is so thoughtful, caring and loving! He always hugs me and tells me he loves me. He does the same to Ellie, Daddy and Victoria. :) My little man!
Well...I will continue adding some pictures from his party...sit back and enjoy! :)

Our Family Pictures!

Hello to all! Here are some pictures I wanted to share. We had these taken over the weekend. My sister Rachel was going to try to come and take them but she couldn't get off of work. I asked a friend of mine that works at Sam's in the photo department and she said yes! She met us at a Park nearby and took the photos for us. I love taking pictures of people but it seems I am never in the them and I wanted a good family picture of all of us this year! I have my Christmas cards ready now with our "NEW" Family picture on it! I am so excited! It doesn't take much to make me happy! I am hoping to get one of these on Canvas from the website: www.canvasondemand.com
I love that site! Check it out sometime! Great Stuff

We got to see Victoria during the Thanksgiving day break and she stayed here for a couple days. It was so nice having her here! Ellie and Gabe really missed her. She was a big help while Max was here. I know she is going to be a great Big sister again! I can't believe how big she is getting. She is going to be 13 in July and she already fits my shoes and some of my clothes! Where is the time going?

My little Ellie has been complaining for almost 2 years of leg pain in her left leg. I kept bringing her to the doctor and they kept saying it was just growing pains. Finally he refereed us to Children's to a specialist. They did xrays and also a CAT Scan and they found something called "Osteoid Osteoma". It is a benine tumor. That was 3 months ago. We went yesterday for the 3 month check-up and they took more x-rays. The Dr. said that it has not changed. He also said that most cases the tumor creates bone around it and he doesn't see that. He said that there is a chance it could be something called a "Nutrient Vessel". I still have to do some research on that. He sent us for some blood work and we have to wait 3 days for the results. The pain she is having wakes her up in the middle of the night and she screams. The Dr. said that the pain is compaired to a tooth ache but in her leg of course. The only thing that helps her is Motrin. We give that too her almost every night. I am just glad it is has not grown and she is ok. I know things could be a lot worse.
I will keep everyone posted. Just continue to keep her in your prayers!

Love to all,
Lizzy

A Thankful Heart!

Where has this year gone? I can't believe it is time for Thanksgiving again! We plan on going to Mr. Tommy's this year. We actually always go there and then usually make a trip to my parents house. Well, this year my Dad (Doug) and Mrs. Rose are going to Baton Rouge this year to see his brother (my uncle David) and that way they can all share it with Mimi (grandma). She has Alzheimer's pretty bad and you never know what tomorrow holds. My brothers Mike, Justin and Jesse all had other plans as well so I guess we will just be going to Mr. Tommy's. I am not complaining by no means but I will miss the tradition of being with "My family" and just the tradition of it all. I really miss my mom and holidays really make me miss her even more!

I need to stay positive and remember all the blessings I have in my life and all the things I have to be thankful for! Ellie and Gabe helped me think of all the reasons we should be thankful! It is so nice to hear the simple things they say such as Ellie saying.."I'm Thankful for the car, the rain, our house, our tub, her friends, all the food we eat, our family, the plants, for God and most of all Jesus." Isn't that adorable! She also said she is thankful for someone with yellow short hair...that's me! Gabe said he is thankful for someone with short black hair..."Poppa" and Ellie says, "actually he has grey hair too"! So honest..huh! Still so cute! Ellie also said she is really thankful for Mommom and Grammie!

Update on Pregnancy: I am 12 weeks now and still get nauseous every now and then. I have to make sure I am not around stinky smells. I have been feeling pretty good for the most part. I have had several ultrasounds done from a friend of mine. The baby is growing and doing well. I got to see the baby's hands and feet this last time. It is so amazing to watch him/her grow inside and all the changes he/she makes each week. It is truly a miracle!

Gabe's birthday is coming up and he wants a "Mickey Mouse" Birthday party so we are trying to plan for that on December 6th. He is sooo excited! I can't believe he will be turning 4. We are going to have some family and friends over. He also wants a space walk.

Photography has been going well. I am doing Christmas specials and also I am doing family pictures for our church directory. I just started that yesterday. I am really excited about that! It is my first time doing studio pictures. My dad got me all the studio lighthing and the chairs and the background. It is so much fun learning new things about photography! I can't wait to learn more! It is something I dream about and will never stop!

Oh yea, Ellie is doing great! Her nose is all better and it looks like it healed pretty well and she is back to her normal self! Now we are just trying to keep her and Gabe healthy with all the colds going around. Thanks for all the prayers and get well wishes! It means alot having family and friends that care! Well, I need to get some things done.

I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving full of LOVE!

Lizzy :)

Saints Game!

Here we are at the Saints Game! Danny got the tickets from his work and we all went to the game this past Sunday! It was an Awesome Game and the best part is they WON! They are 8-0 now! This is so exciting to be a part of History! This was Ellie and Gabe's first Game they went to! They loved it! Gabe had a blast dancing as they scored! We brought a little lunch box for Ellie with food and snacks and her drink! :) Danny also had passes for us to go on the field before the game! That was so awesome! It is a totally different view! We didn't get to get any autographs though! I wish we could have but we got there a little late!

Ellie had her surgery on her nose on Friday at Children's Hospital and she did great minus the adverse reaction to the anesthesia! She went crazy after surgery. They had to do a closed reduction (re-brake it to fix it) Danny could hardly hold her down. They tried pain medicine through her IV and that didn't work so they tried Benedryl and that didn't work either. The last resort was the volume and that worked! Thank God! It was so hard seeing her like that and so upset! The best part is it's all over with! She is so much better and we took the bandage off today and she looks great! Now the hard part is making sure my baby doesn't have any more accidents! Can I put her in a bubble! ha ha!

Ellie's nose....

Well last week was an exciting week...or should I say a very eventful week to say the least.
I had a scare because I started bleeding and I got really concerned but luckily everything is OK and the bleeding has stopped.
Wednesday night, Ellie fell of the stool while eating dinner and she broke her nose. I took her to the doctor on Thursday and they had x-rays done and confirmed that is it fractured. Well, I got an appt with an ENT this past Monday and they want to do surgery this coming Friday at Children's Hospital! I can't believe she broke her nose. They are going to have to re-brake it to fix it because it is crooked.

We also found out that Danny's mom has cervical cancer. We don't know what stage yet but please keep her in your prayers. We will know more next week sometime.

I finally found a doctor that is reasonable for my pregnancy care and they can't see me until December 2nd but at least I found someone. I am 2months this week. I have been pretty sick so far. It is so weird because I was fine for Ellie and Gabe. I don't remember being this miserable! I am looking forward to the 2nd trimester.

Well, love to all and more updates later this week.

I'm Pregnant!

Where do I start? I am filled with so many different emotions right now. We did not plan this pregnancy nor did we think we would have more children. I know God had different plans. I got pregnant almost 2 years ago which was right after my mom passed away and I ended up having complications and had to have a DNC. It was very hard to go through. The baby never formed a heartbeat.
My first thought when I found out that I became pregnant this time was, "Is there a heartbeat?" Well, this ultrasound confirmed it! I got to hear and see the heartbeat and I have to admit it was so amazing! I still can't believe that I am pregnant! I am happy but then also scared because we have been struggling financially. I also found out this week that our insurance won't cover the pregnancy and we can't be added on. Then I applied for Medicade and I am not eligible because Danny makes more than 3,976.00 per month. The lady said that if Danny made 3,977.00 per month that we won't be eligible either. It has to be less than 3,976.00. I could have lied and said that I am a single mother or my husband and I are seperated but I wanted to do what was right and be honest! I know God has a plan but I am still human and I am worried sick! I just want to cry! I really don't know what I am going to do at this point. I do ask for prayers!
I really appreciate every prayer!

This will be an adventure! I am 6 1/2 weeks pregnant and according to the ultrasound, I am due June 13th.
Ellie and Gabe are excited and have lots of questions. I just told them that we are just adding one more to our family and I still love them more than anything in the world and will continue to do so! Ellie let me know that we will not all fit in my truck. Ha ha! Can you say..Minivan!
She is so amazing! She said..."MOM, how are you going to take care of 4 children?" That's alot of work!
All things are possible through Jesus Christ!

Love to all...

Having fun with Gabe!

Well, as you all know, Ellie is in Kindergarten now so I try to have special days with Gabe when it is just us. I got something called a "wee rider" for my bike and Gabe and I go for bike rides at least once a week. It is so much fun. He loves it and I get to exercise too! It is a win win situation! ha ha! He always says that! We got that saying from "cat in the hat"! He remembers every quote from movies. It is amazing how much he absorbs. I have to make sure I am letting him absorb the right things because he is learning so much right now!

He will turn 4 years old on December 8th. I am trying to start planning a little party for him this year. I don't know what I will do yet!

Slide Show: My 31st Birthday part 1

I turned 31 on October 1st! Wow time flies! I had many phone calls, emails and text messages wishing me a Happy birthday! It was a great day! It got even better when my dad called me to tell me he was coming over with dinner. I had Max that day and I had no clue what I was going to cook for dinner so when he called, I was thrilled! He showed up with Mimi and Mrs. Rose and he also had flowers and a cake! It was the sweetest thing ever! I love him so!
Here are a couple pictures from my evening! Enjoy!

Lizzy :)

New job...:)

God is so good and he works in such mysterious ways. I had a job offer come to me through a good friend of mine. She had a good friend that was in need of a nanny for their child. Actually a newborn which is only 6 weeks old. She works 48 hours straight at a hospital and she needs someone to watch her child for 48 hours straight. I talked it over with Danny and we decided that it would be a great opportunity for me because it is only 2 days and I get to stay home.
The best part is the baby's name which is "Max". What is so amazing is when I was pregnant for Gabe my mom wanted me to name him "Max" and I didn't. After my mom passed, I became pregnant and then had complications and lost the baby. I had decided that if I had another child that we would name him "Max" and it would have to be a boy as well.
Well, things didn't work out like that. Here I am two years later getting the opportunity to watch an amazing little boy named "Max"! How cool is that! You never know what tomorrow holds and I see that time and time again.
God is so GREAT! I feel so blessed and so lucky! This past week was my first week watching Max and I have to admit I was a little nervous but everything worked out great and he is such an angel. He was born 3 weeks early so he is only 10 lbs. right now. My job is to fatten him up. Ha ha ha

Ellie and Gabe really love him and they are excited and and eager to help me with him. Here are some pictures of little Max. Enjoy and God Bless!

Love,
Lizzy

Canada Trip 2009

What an adventure! Thanks to Channel ABC 26, Daniel and I had the chance of a lifetime to go on vacation to Canada for 5 days. Daniel works for Hood Northlake Chevrolet and he also handles the advertising. The trip was given to his boss but he was not able to go so Daniel was offered to go. So we took it! :) There were other couples there that Channel 26 sent as well. I was able to have my mother in law fly in to stay with the kids at our house and my dad came to take her place on the last day because she had to fly home and get back to work. The kids had a great time while we were away. They got to bond with "Abuela" and also with "poppa".

We left on a Saturday morning and arrived there that evening. It was a long flight but worth every minute of it! Daniel and I met some amazing people and made some new friends as well. It was so nice to just get away for a while and relax and enjoy each other and experience new things together. The sights were breathtaking. Here are a couple shots from our trip and I will add more later. Enjoy!
