Mikey Turns 40!!
These pictures are from a Grand Event that I had the pleasure of being the photographer. I have a great friend Nikki that has a brother named "Mikey". I met Nikki through my husband. Her husband Daniel works with my husband Daniel. :) Anyways...her brother has a condition that he was born with and unfortunatly they usually don't live to be 40! Mikey is a fighter and has beat the odds. He is an awesome man and a great brother to Nikki! They also have an awesome family that support Mikey 100%. He even works during the week at two different jobs. Mikey also has a girlfriend named "Wendy" and she has a condition that is similar to Mikey's. He said he wants to marry her and he lights up when she is around or if he even talks about her. It is the cutest thing ever!! Her present to him was..she sang him "Happy Birthday" and she added "Happy birthday to my SWEETHEART in it. He got the biggest kick out of that. Well, here are the pictures...enjoy!!
Oh yea..Mikey drew the design on the card by himself.. and Mikey was calling his girlfriend in the picture above to check on her before she got to the party..so cute!!
Love,
Lizzy

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of going to lunch with my Dad and Rose to Olive Garden. Rose also brought her sister with her. I am sorry I didn't get any pictures of everyone. We had a nice time at lunch. After lunch my dad took Gabe and all the girls went shopping to find Ellie's dress for the wedding which is approaching us really quick. It is on August 8th....less than a month away!! Wow..my dad is getting married!!! :)

A Mother's LOVE
Mother's Love
There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.
A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.
When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

Summer Fun...
Well...here are some more pictures of the kiddos...
This week has been pretty good so far. On Monday afternoon, the kids and I drove to Lakeside to meet my mom so we could get Rachel (my sister). She spent the night here so we could leave early morning and go to the waterpark in Gulfport. Daniel managed to get off of work and we were so happy about that. Tuesday we woke up to a beautiful day but while we were at the waterpark we noticed a black cloud over us about 3 hours into our swimming/playing. Rachel and I decided to run to the car to get the food out and as soon as we made it to the car, the clouds let loose. The winds were so bad that our car was moving. It was so scary. Daniel got the kids together and ran to the car in that bad weather!!! They were terrified. So much for that. We ate lunch in the car and then drove home. Then Danny decided to run to the store and get some steaks to grill and Patrick (Rachel's boyfriend) came over after he got off of work and we had a delicious dinner. I wish Rachel didn't have to leave! It is always so nice having her here. She is awesome with the kids and always helps me out with EVERYTHING!!! Gotta love her!
Mom is doing good with her pregnancy and is due on July 18th. Time sure does fly. Continue to keep her in your prayers.
Victoria is doing better with her speech lessons. We go every Friday to Baton Rouge. This Friday is canceled because her therapist won't be there. She recognizes her name and I also called her name from another room and she came to see what I wanted. That was awesome. She is a normal 10 year old with alot of attitude. We have had many talks within the past couple of weeks and I hope and pray that some of them will stick with her. I hate to constantly fuss at her or discipline her but I am glad I haven't given up. I am finally starting to notice progress! God is answering my prayers!!!! She can be really sweet at time but then there are times where she loves to aggrevate the heck out of Ellie and Gabe and then she gives that face..."what did I do?" I know it is a typical 10 year old. Make note: I don't like this stage!!
Ellie has been a fuss bucket lately..always telling on Victoria or Gabe and screaming about everything.
Gabe is doing good and talking alot! He says.."momma, what are you doing?" It is so cute!! He copies everything we say and loves to talk about pee pee and Poo Poo. I guess that is because he started to use the potty. He is doing really well with it. He closes the door and tells me he needs his "Privacy" but when he says it it sounds like "pribacy". It is adorable!!! He is awesome!
That is about it over here for now.
We are going to meet my Aunt at a park in Covington tomorrow and Bailee will be with her. Aunt Alice is my mom's sister and she lives on the Northshore. Bailee is my cousin's daughter which is Aunt Alice's grand daughter. Bailee lives in Florida but she is staying with her "Nanna" my aunt this week. Ellie got to spend time with Bailee when we took that trip in the beginning of the year and we stayed two nights at their house. They are the same age and they get along great together. I know tomorrow will be awesome! I can't wait to see them both. Talk to you soon..
Love ya...

Fun in the car...
Here is a little clip of Ellie and Gabe acting like Elephants using a napkin I gave them. It all started with Ellie saying.."mom, I have a bugger in my nose." So, I gave her a napkin. The next thing I know she is saying, "Hey Mommma look at me, I am an elephant!" It was so cute. Then she gave Gabe some of her napkins and he was trying to do the same thing too. He had napkins balled up and he was trying to stick them in his ears so he could have elephant ears as well. Enjoy!!

Camera fun..
Here are some adorable pictures that I took today of the kids. I bought them some red, white and blue clothes for the 4th of July. I love taking pictures of them for all the different holidays. I can't believe how fast they are growing right before my eyes. I want to capture every moment because I know they will be "all grown up" in the blink of an eye.
Enjoy..:)

Abuela...
Abuela got the kids a bubble machine and we bought it while the kids were with us. We told Ellie and Gabe that the bubble man would bring it to our house if they were good while we shopped at Sam's. As you can see, they were good and Abuela got them the gift. Victoria brought it inside and put it on the counter while Abuela talked to Ellie and Gabe in the car. It was so cute to see their faces when they saw it.
Here are the pictures..Enjoy
There is also a picture of Victoria with her two awesome friends Marie and Anna. Aren't they cute!

Outdoor fun..
Instead of using my sprinkler, I thought....why not let Gabe water the grass??
Ellie and Gabe had a blast playing with the house running all over the back yard chasing each other. I had to catch this moment. So adorable..

What a Weekend...
Well, where do I start?? Friday I had to bring Victoria to her speech therapy in Baton Rouge. She has to go every Friday for the next 4 years to help her with the cochlear implant. Anyways...on the way home I noticed my right tire was getting low. Well, I ended up on the side of the interstate about 1 hour away from my home. URGH!!! I called Danny and thank God he came to the rescue. I had Ellie, Gabe and Victoria in the car and they were not happy campers. It was NOT a fun adventure. Then Friday night my mother in law (Abuela..Grandma in spanish) flew in from Florida but her flight ended up delayed 2 hours which put her in New Orleans around 10:45pm. Poor Danny didn't get home until 1:30am. Luckily he was off on Saturday. We were hoping for a fun filled day with the whole family but instead we ended up cleaning the house to prepare for our Big "Open House". On Sunday we woke up extra early to make sure house was perfect and we all got ready for church and darted out the door at 9:30am. The open house was from 1-3. I talked to my agent and she said only ONE person came to see the house!!! Oh Well!! So much for that!
After church, we went to my dad's house in Folsom to hang out with him and go swimming in his pool. We had a great time! The kids loved being there especially with Poppa throwing them up in the air. I would have pictures but I flew out the house this morning and forgot my camera! Can you believe that!!
My dad had some "NEWS" to tell me and I am still in shock. He told me that I will be taking pictures of a wedding in August. Well, GUESS who's wedding??? My DADS!!!!!! He is going to get married August 8, 2008! He started Dating a woman he met after my mom passed. Her name is Rose. They have been seeing each other for about 6-7 months now. Victoria bursted out, "WOW, that was fast" and my dad responded with "I am getting old". I know time is really short and we need to take advantage of every moment we have. As our family learned the hard way, "you never know what tomorrow holds". I am really happy for my Dad. I want him to be happy and I can see that he truly is. I know he still misses my mom and he always will. We all will, but I also know that somehow, life has to continue and we can't be depressed for the rest of our time here on earth. We WILL see my mom again one day in Heaven. I know that my mom would want my dad to be happy. I still don't know if she would want him to re-marry so soon but it is out of my control. But then again, when is the right time? One year, two years, three years? There is NO time frame on any of that. We are all different and we all handle it in different ways. I can not sit back and think of all the things that could have been but I must think of all the things that will be. Handle the things that are on my plate now because I can only take it one day at a time. It is something that is not easy for me.
I am alot like my mother and I tend to stress over things that I can not change or things that have not happened but I am trying to change that.
My dad said that after they get married, they are going on their honey moon in Hawaii for 9 days. The wedding will be small in Gulfport, MS. It still seems so unreal to me. I can't imagine seeing my dad Married to anyone else. He also said that she will move in with him after they get married and look for a job teaching on the Northshore. It will be a big adjustment for all of us. I got the chance to meet her last weekend at church and we also ate at Picadilly after church. It was a nice visit. She seems really sweet and genuine. My dad smiles alot when he is with her and he also talks different with her. It is a good thing to see my dad that way. Well, it is getting late and I better get some rest. We have a busy day tomorrow. We plan on having lots of fun with Abuela and I promise I will get some pictures of her and the kids this time. Love to all...Lizzy

The First week of June
Well...Here are some recent pictures of the kiddos and myself. I got my hair cut again..Thanks Holly!! I finally got a break!! I got to relax for 2 1/2 hours while Holly cut my hair and colored it! Yahooo! She had a babysitter watch my kids at her house. I am so thankful for that. This past week has been really stressful and I really needed a break.
Poor Gabe told me "my mummy hurt" on the way there and then he threw up on himself. :( I don't know what that was all about. I think his tummy was upset from eating veinna sausages for breakfast. That is what he wanted!! He is totally fine now. Ellie, Gabe and Victoria are now part of the summer reading program at the Library. They are doing really well. I have to read the books to Ellie and Gabe but Victoria is doing great with her reading. We are going back tomorrow to get more books. I am also going to put the kids in Vacation Bible school. I am looking forward to that and so are they. This coming weekend is a big weekend for us. Danny's mom is coming in town on Friday and she is staying here until Tuesday evening. We are very excited. Danny has not seen his mom in ONE year! :( We are also having a big open house here on Sunday. Our house is still for sale and we reduced the price hoping that will help it sell. We shall see and just keep us in your prayers. We want to move closer to Danny's work, my dad and our church, which is all in Covington. It makes sense!! Well, I promised that I would take the kids swimming at the gym. Off we go...
Love,
Lizzy
