More pics from D-Day Trip

This was my first time going to the Museum and I have to admit it was very overwhelming. It is so hard to imagine what they went through during that period of time. It is also scary to think about where our future is headed.
It really makes you appreciate everything we have now and "Freedom" means alot more!

Love to all,

Our Visit to the D-Day Museum

Here are a couple pictures from our trip to the D-Day Museum we went on this past weekend with our Church. It was a really nice outing. After our tour, we left the Museum and headed to one of my favorite restaurant's in Slidell, Cracker Barrel. It is not one of Danny's favorites though. :(

More pics to come...

Ready for Bed

Here are a couple pics from tonight. I know I haven't been blogging lately. It just seems like life has been in the way. There is always something that keeps me busy..hmmmm KIDS! Other things too, like housework.
Updates:
*We have been doing good.
*Victoria just celebrated her 12th birthday in Florida with her Mom and her mom's family. I can't believe she is getting so big!
*Nathan (my brother) turned ONE this month! Can't believe that either!
*Ellie will start Kindergarden in just a couple weeks. She will be riding a bus also. She is excited about that.
*I am still doing the nanny job 3 days a week and doing photography every chance I can.
*Daniel is doing good. The Car business is doing pretty good right now, so that is an answered prayer.

I attached some pictures that I took tonight of Ellie and Gabe after their bath. They are playing in Gabe's room with Gabe's trucks. They are so cute together. I don't know what Gabe is going to do when Ellie starts school. He is doing really well without his blanket. We have made a rule that the Blanket aka Fuffie or Ankie has to stay home and can only be used at Bedtime. He has asked for it several times but has been doing good without it during the day. I am so proud of him. He still sucks his thumb when he sleeps. I will have to work on that next. I also made a new rule since Ellie will be starting school soon...Bedtime is AT 8:00!!! This week has been pretty good although they end up in bed at 8:30 and asleep by 8:45. Hopefully it will get a little easier. I have noticed how happy they are in the morning with plenty of sleep which means "HAPPY MOM"!

Well, I need to go and get some more things done before bedtime!

Ellie and Gabe

Here are some pictures I took of Ellie and Gabe from Saturday evening when Ellie decided to dress Gabe up in his old overall's. Such a cute memory and what a payback this will be when Gabe gets older. Ha ha..

Gabe and his horsie...

This is my first time adding a video to my blog. It is hilarious. Ellie decided to dress up Gabe in his old and small overall's. She also put HER black boots on him and my straw hat. He got his stuffed animal/horsie and we went outside to the backyard so I could get some shots of him because it was so funny. He also had a little yo-yo and he said his rope is used for catching bad people. I just had to share.
Enjoy!!

Vacation Pics..part 1

Time to eat...:)

Here are some pictures of Gabe while we were in Florida at the pool. We had a grand adventure. We stayed at Daniels brother's house "Jorge" in Palm Bay, Florida. It was like a big Reunion. We had 16 people total in ONE home. Thank God Jorge had a big home to accommodate all of us. Daniel's sister Jackie came with her husband Travis and their little girl Ava. Jorge's two girls came to visit from Texas. Bobbie, which is Jorge's wife has 3 children that were there too. Abuela was there of course and Danny's Dad came from Miami. We left Louisiana last Thursday night at 10pm and we drove all night. Danny likes to do it that way because the kids sleep the whole trip. It worked out pretty well. We got there Friday morning at 9:00am.
We went to either the beach or the pool everyday. The kids had so much fun being there with the cousins and their Family. The trip went well until all the men, minus Travis, decided to take a motorbike ride on Bike night. They all left on their own motorbike and then about 45 minutes into their trip, we get a phone call that someone was being rushed to the hospital. It was Danny's Dad "Jorge Sr."
My heart fell to the floor and my heart started racing. I thought the worse of course. He was riding in the middle of the pack and Jorge Jr signaled that there was a hard sharp turn ahead and obviously Jorge Sr didn't pay attention an he kept going straight and then tried to turn when it was too late. Then the bike fell on top of him and he slid for about 200 feet. Thank God he didn't brake any bones but he did get scraped up pretty bad. I am so glad they all wore their helmets! God was watching over him for Sure!!
They arrived back home "Jorge's house" around 2:00am. I will post more pictures from that. Jorge Sr. or better known as "Abuelo which is Grandpa in Spanish" told Danny that he didn't want to ruin the vacation so he insisted on going with us to our beach and pool trips. We tagged him along and put him on a chair under a well covered area.
The kids played and played and had so much fun. The days flew by and I knew that would happen. I did manage to get Abulea to cut my hair and retouch my highlights while I was there. She does that for a living and I was honored to get her to do my hair. It came out so cute. Just for the record..I still love HOLLY! :)
As time went by and bandages got replaced on Abuleo's arms, words started to pass and voices got louder. Pain medicine was given to Abuelo and then it became midnight. Abuelo decided that he wanted to leave and head back to Miami. No one could stop him. Thank God he got home alright and I know AGAIN that God was watching over him. He must have 9 lives and I have no idea what number he has reached. All we can do is pray for him. He is a very strong willed and Stubborn man.
He left Tuesday night and we left Wednesday night and we arrived home on Thursday morning. We drove all night again.
Now we are back home and back to our old schedule or should I say trying to get back to our old schedule. It is not easy. I feel like I am still out of wack. :)
I still have tons of pics to edit and I will try to do some every night.
Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's day and I pray everyone has a good week coming up.

Love to all,
Lizzy

A Great Dad!

Happy Father's Day Daniel!
I have to admit that I am so lucky to have Daniel for my husband and also the Father to my children. I couldn't ask for anything more! He is so awesome at reasoning with them and making them understand certain things that I have trouble explaining. His love for them is very evident when you see him with them. He works just as hard as my Dad did for me when I was growing up. Daniel is so giving, caring and funny! I know there isn't anything he wouldn't do for us! I think the more time that goes by, the closer and more in love we become. Thanks for being you Danny!

I love you so much....my cup runneth over!
